What to expect after your vaccination
The severity of bites and stings varies depending on the type of insect involved and the sensitivity of the person. Reactions can vary from mild irritation to serious allergic reaction. Read more to find out about insect bites and stings.
Most stings from bees, wasps and hornets cause pain and slight swelling, but have little other effect. But, some people are allergic to stings and can develop reactions that can be life-threatening. Call an ambulance immediately if you suspect an allergic reaction soon after being stung. Find out more here about the different types of bites and stings.
