General Information

Smoke Free Zone
Buckfastleigh Medical Centre (car park and entrances) are a smoke free zone. Do not smoke whilst on any part of the premises.

Access
We aim to make the premises and our services as accessible as we can. We have a ramp and automatic doors to facilitate wheelchair access. We can also arrange for interpretation and translation services for patients who require them. Please let us know if we can do anything else to meet patients’ access needs.

Students
We support the development of medical students and as such you will sometimes be asked if you mind being seen by a medical student either with or before seeing a doctor. You are able to refuse if you do not wish to do so.

Research
We support research to help with the development of medical interventions. As such we are members of the Primary Care Research Network (South west). You may be asked directly or in writing to take part in some research. You are able to refuse if you do not wish to take part and all your details are kept confidential.

GP Pay
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to delivere NHS services to patients at each Practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Buckfastleigh Medical Centre in the last financial year was £50,390 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time and 3 part time GPs.
